There will be potential height restrictions beginning February 25, 2012 and continuing through April 11, 2012. During this time, sailboats and large motor boats will not be able to pass under the bridge.

If you require a bridge opening, please call Lee County at (239) 283-2414 at least 24 hours in advance.

Matlacha Drawbridge Openings

Drawbridge Opening Schedule Changed on December 1, 2010

The Drawbridge will now open on the following schedule:

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
The bridge will open on demand (signal) from 8 am to 10 am and from 3 pm to 7 pm.
The bridge will open only on the hour, as needed from 10 am to 3 pm.

Friday, Saturday and Monday
The bridge will open on demand from 8 am to 7 pm.

Sunday
The bridge will open on demand from 7am to 7 pm.

If you are sponsoring a special event which requires the bridge to open for passage of multiple vessels on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 10 am and 3 pm, at a time other than on the hour, you can request a special opening by calling Lee County at 239-283-2414 at least 24 hours in advance.
